Shiro is outside his house, practicing a move against a straw doll. This move takes advantage of the one weakness of Yagyu Jubei II. Shiro's twin brother, Hajime, approaches him and tells him that with that move, he will defeat Yagyu Jubei and that he is the one who should lead the Ryujoji clan instead of Hajime.
Shiro approaches Koinosuke and tells him that he knows the one weakness that can defeat Yagyu Jubei. When Jubei puts on the lovely eye-patch, she is not used to only seeing out of her right eye and loses her depth perception. Thus, an attack to the left will have her at a disadvantage. At school, yet another teacher is chosen for Jubei's class, but this time, the teacher has no idea what the lovely eye-patch is or why Jubei should be important. It seems they've finally gotten a normal teacher. Shiro tries to show Jubei how to defend herself against her weakness, but she doesn't want anything to do with it. Koinosuke visits his master's grave and remembers the story about how he lost his left eye. This gives Koinosuke an idea on how to get Jubei to overcome her weakness as well. Shiro shows up as Jubei is leaving with her friends and he challenges Yagyu Jubei to a duel the next day. Jubei just runs away. Shiro really just wants to duel her so he can free her from the soul, and burden, of Yagyu Jubei. Shiro is trapped by his brother so he can send one more assassin, Okuma Jinza, is sent to defeat Yagyu Jubei first. Jinza allows Jubei to ask him some questions and she learns why the Ryujoji have a grudge against the Yagyus but tells him their plan is stupid. Even without her sword, Jubei transforms with the lovely eye-patch and....
