Shiro is sitting alone at home thinking of Jubei. However, his "peaceful" images of Jubei, turn into "offensive" images of Yagyu Jubei. He wont believe they are one in the same even thought the images in his mind merge together. He wonders when he wrote all the love letters to Jubei that are lying about. He grasps one and lays in bed.
Jubei is heading off to school and Koinosuke is worried again about her leaving the lovely eye-patch behind. He blocks her path until she shows him the lovely eye-patch. He is satisfied until he realizes what she really showed him was a fake. Meanwhile, Bantaro shows the love letter he has written to the other Ruffians. When he meets up with Shiro, Shiro shows the 50 letters he has written. The letters are blow away by Jubei running away from Koinosuke. After he catches up with her, she hands Koinosuke the real lovely eye-patch and says if she pretends they never met, it will be easier to say goodbye. Koinosuke sits on a school swing set crying because Jubei has again refused her role as Yagyu Jubei II. As he cries, he thinks back at his 300 year search for her. At school, Jubei's class has another new teacher, two of them in fact. They teach different subjects simultaneously. When they come to challenge her, Shiro protects her and Bantaro and the Ruffians race to find the lovely eye-patch. They find Koinosuke dried out from the sun and race back to Jubei. Bantaro is hurt protecting Jubei, and to save her friends, she puts on the lovely eye-patch and defeats both ryujoji swordsman. After the battle, they decide to give up the sword and sell medicine, as rain falls and washes Koinosuke into a river.
