At breakfast, Koinosuke asks for "two eggs, side by side, a broken 'over-easy' egg on the right with a 'hard' yet still somewhat soft egg on the left" This comes to be known as the "Jubei-Yaki" While Jubei cooks, Koinosuke lectures her on the danger of the Ryojoji clan and her own job as the reincarnated Yagyu Jubei. Jubei runs off to school and Koinosuke worries that she does not have the Lovely Eye-patch and is in danger because she wont be able to fight an attacker. She tells Koinosuke that she threw the Lovely Eye-patch away because she does not want it, and does not have an eye infection. Shiro stops Koinosuke from following her, and for the time being, Koinosuke leaves. A strange girl with long blond hair approaches Bantaro and asks who the girl with Shiro is. He tells her its Nanohana Jiyu, but the nickname her father uses is Jubei and he likes that name so that is what he calls her. At school, Jubei's class has a new teacher, Hairu-sensei. He cant believe that Nanohana Jiyu, called "Jubei" by her father as a nickname, is Yagyu Jubei. Her teacher challenges Yagyu Jubei to a fight and Koinosuke races back to get the Lovely Eye-patch from Jubei's room. Seeing the samurai who was following Jubei, Bantaro and the Ruffians run after him thinking that they will "protect" her. Seeing the absolute determination of the challenger, Jiyu puts on the Lovely Eye-patch and transforms into Yagyu Jubei. After the battle, Hairu decides to give up the sword and "live for love"
